At approximately 1.33pm this afternoon (8 June) police received a report of an altercation involving a number of people in the Millholme Avenue area of Carlisle.
It was reported that a potential firearm was spotted during the incident, this was later located by officers and is confirmed to be a BB gun.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “One man was transported to the Cumberland Infirmary with injuries not believed to be life threatening. Three other men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and are currently in custody.
“Armed officers were deployed to the scene as a precaution.”
