A WHITEHAVEN man accused of wounding his partner in the town is to stand trial later this year.
Karl Goodfellow, 35, faces one charge.
This alleges that he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Zoe Flynn, and arises out of an alleged incident on April 26 this year.
Goodfellow appeared at Carlisle Crown Court over a video link this morning (TUES). During a short hearing in front of Judge Nicholas Barker, he pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him by a court clerk.
Goodfellow, of New Street, Whitehaven, is not due to stand trial in front of a jury. This hearing is estimated to last two days, and is due to start in the week of August 10.
In the meantime, Goodfellow was remanded in custody by Judge Barker.
