An arts organisation is offering support for people who live in Barrow to get creative ideas off the ground.
BarrowFull is looking for people in the town who want to do something new and creative as part of its Boosting Barrow’s Creativity programme of work – and especially those who have never done anything like it before.
BarrowFull is already supporting people in lots of different ways to make new creative things happen in the town and welcome people to get in touch for a chat about what this might look like for individuals.
BarrowFull said: “Boosting Barrow’s Creativity is an opportunity for people who live in Barrow, who want to do something creative.
“They may have an idea that they’ve been thinking about for a while, or may have a creative activity they already do, that they’d like to expand a little, or they might know they’d like to do something creative but don’t have any clear ideas and would like a chat to explore what options there are. Its really broad and we want to work with people from where they are.”
Boosting Barrow’s Creativity isn’t for professional creatives who are looking to develop their creative practice, but could be used for creating something new for a particular community in Barrow.
BarrowFull is not a funder, but can advise people who live in Barrow and signpost to where funding or professional opportunities are available.
Other examples of suitable projects would be someone who lives in Barrow who wants to do something new and creative as part of a group, or a group of people in Barrow who want to do something new and creative together.
After initial conversations ideas are looked at by BarrowFull’s community advisors who guide BarrowFull with advice around which projects we can support and how ideas might be best supported.
BarrowFull is funded by Arts Council England to provide opportunities for people who live in Barrow.
