LOCAL charity, Soundwave, is currently seeking trustees and advisors to help make music accessible to young people in West Cumbria.

The non-profit organisation is looking for people of all ages, and a range of backgrounds, to join the organisation in its exciting journey to the next phase of growth and development.

The charity, run by long serving leaders and a range of freelance specialists, is seeking dynamic, ambitious and experienced individuals including those from, the music industry, music education, youth services, legal, marketing, accounting, project management, business services and more.

The organisation has opportunities for permanent Trustees and Young Advisors, aged 18-30 to work alongside each other to ensure the growth, development and direction of the organisation.

Dave Roberts, Soundwave Director, said: “We’ve undergone a period of significant improvement over the last five years and it’s a really exciting time for Soundwave as we grow and develop into a mode fit for the future.

“We’re looking for individuals to join us in our journey in making music accessible to all.

“We want to make sure we are the best we possibly can be, and we know there’s a wealth of experience and knowledge out there just waiting to be tapped into.

“We’re also offering a unique opportunity for young people to become part of the highest level of leadership in our newly formed young advisor roles.

“Our organisation benefits young people in Copeland and why not inject the same youth and enthusiasm into our Board of Directors, and give young people the chance to shape the direction of the organisation for their peers and other young people in the community.”

To submit an expression of interest please email [email protected] detailing any skills and experience, and the reasons for wishing to become a trustee or young advisor, by no later than July 24, 2020. To arrange an informal chat about the roles email [email protected].
