Carlisle College are inviting potential future students to find out about life at Carlisle College at their upcoming open day being held on Thursday 20th August

Carlisle College are inviting potential future students to find out about life at Carlisle College at their upcoming open day being held on Thursday 20th August (GCSE Results Day) between 10am and 6pm, bookings are essential.

The August event will be the last open day & advice session for those considering attending Carlisle College in September 2020, and will be held as a face to face event in the multi-million pound facilities of the college.

Due to the current social distancing measures in place across the UK, a limited number of slots at time periods throughout the day are available. Bookings are essential, restricting the number of guests at any one time, which will enable the College to comply with social distancing regulations. Additional safety measures will include hand sanitation stations provided throughout the college and a one way system being in operation.

The open day will provide potential future students with the opportunity to find out more about studying at Carlisle College, gain an insight into the different courses and Apprenticeships available and provide the opportunity to ask the tutors any questions they may have about the courses, ensuring they are able to explore all their options for September 2020, and to ensure they can find the right course for them.

Carlisle College has over 100 courses available from entry level through to Degrees ranging from Art & Design to Accounting, Business to Beauty, Media to Motor Vehicle, Hospitality to Health and Social Care. These include a wide range of Diploma Courses which are worth up to 3 A-Levels and provide a perfect alternative to school sixth form, allowing you to specialise in your chosen subject area and progress onto university – in fact we have over 200 students applying to university through UCAS each year.

Andy Dodds, Director at Carlisle College, said: β€œIn these unprecedented times it is important that potential students are still able to access advice and guidance which will allow them to realise their career ambitions. Students can really make it at Carlisle College, whether that is to go to University, gain an Apprenticeship or go into employment. All of the courses at Carlisle College prepare students for their next step and we would encourage everyone to join us on the day, by making an appointment through our booking system, to find out what the College has to offer.”

Those who would like to attend the open day will need to book a time slot via the college website at www.carlisle.ac.uk

You can also secure a place on a course for September 2020, applications are open on the College website www.carlisle.ac.uk and can be completed in 5 easy steps.
