West Cumbria’s First Socially Distanced Festival Announced for August Bank Holiday

In a world where normal events can’t take place at the moment, a group of West Cumbrian production specialists have come together with a local rugby club to organise a socially distanced festival to raise funds for the NHS charity Together and bring artists back to the stage. The one-day event will see a stellar line-up of local artists take to the stage on the field of Hensingham ARLFC.

One of the major focuses for organisers is around supporting the local music industry, Lee Adams an organiser commented: “We are excited to be able to host this event, following months of no work for the music and events industry and very little financial aid, it is imperative we can start working again – as stripped back as that may be.”

The idea for the event only sprung to mind in early July and following several weeks of intense planning Shelbi, Lee and Hensingham Rugby Club are pleased to be able to announce Whitehaven’s very first socially distanced music festival.

The Northern Threads, Mustangz, Luke Matear and Cory & Stu are just some of the local artists to take to the stage on Saturday 28th August.

With COVID rules in place such as allotted arrival times, one person per box being permitted to attend the bar at any one time, temperature checked guests and a highly signposted site, guests should be reassured they can have a safe and enjoyable time.

Tickets are now available from https://tinyurl.com/Hensingham with allotted plots for up to 6 people available for £60.
