Leading careers advice and guidance organisation, Inspira, has launched a series of practical support videos and online help for young people receiving their GCSE results today.
The Inspira centres in Barrow, Carlisle and Workington are open 10am until 3pm for any young person who is worried about their results.
“We have drop-in appointments available, as well as the opportunity for young people and parents to book online appointments,” said Sarah Harrington, Director at Inspira. “From 2-3pm our professional advisers will also be Live on Facebook and Insta @inspiraforlife too.”
As a result of COVID19 disrupting education and exams, this year, teachers have submitted grades for each of their students based on what they believe the student would have achieved, using a range of evidence such as classwork, homework and mock exam results.
“We know it is a worrying time for a lot of young people,” continued Sarah Harrington. “So, we aim to give helpful tips and practical advice to parents as well as explain to young people the options available to them.”
To cope with demand, Inspira is offering online appointments from 10am until 8pm on Thursday 20th and Friday 21th, as well as Saturday the 22th from 10am – 1pm.
To book an online appointment visit Inspira’s website or get in touch with them on social media @Inspiraforlife or 0345 658 8647. The videos and advice can all be found on their website www.inspira.org.uk.
