Eden District Council is urging community and voluntary groups in the area to apply for grants on offer through its Eden Community Fund.
The Fund looks to support community projects and events capable of delivering wide community benefits with up to £10,000 per project.
It is the last chance for community and voluntary groups in Eden to apply: the deadline for applications closes on Friday 4th September 2020.
Councillor Lissie Sharp, Communities Portfolio Holder at Eden District Council, said, “We strongly urge community groups to get an application in to the Council for their project or event as soon as possible.
“We can offer advice on the application process, and examples of the type of projects and events the Fund has supported before are available on the Council website. So please get in touch.”
Applications are welcomed from community and voluntary groups, parish and town councils, charities and social enterprises. Organisations must demonstrate how their project or event will deliver wide benefit, contributing to the sustainability, vitality and well-being of local communities.
Capital funding is available for community events, outdoor amenities, buildings, enterprises, and for other projects that support communities.
Groups and organisations can apply for grants ranging from £200 to £10,000, subject to criteria including partial match funding.
