A pensioner has appeared in court charged with two counts of ‘making’ indecent images of a child.
Kenneth Edward McNabb, 70, faces two allegations that between November 30, 2019 and January 1, 2020 he made indecent photographs/pseudo photos of a child.
One charge relates to category B images, the second most serious category, and one of category C.
The charge of making an indecent photograph relates to opening, downloading or accessing a photograph.
McNabb, of Ellesmere Way in the Morton area of Carlisle, appeared before Carlisle’s magistrates’ court this morning.
He faces a third charge of breaching a sexual harm prevention order imposed by Carlisle Crown Court in November 2014 by deleting images from a laptop, in direct contravention of the order.
Defence lawyer Anthony Wilson informed the magistrates his client would not enter a plea today.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court and will be heard on April 23. He was granted unconditional bail until then.
