Support Eden Valley Hospice’s Make a Will Month

You can make a will and support Eden Valley Hospice this month.

A number of solicitors across the county are taking part in the charity’s campaign.

During April Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, with Atkinson Ritson, Gaynham King and Mellor, H&F Legal, Kilvington, Waugh & Musgrave and Wragg Mark-Bell, are offering people the opportunity and time to talk about their will and the future.

In return for a suggested donation to the hospice people will receive a professionally written will during the month.

Since 2011 Make a Will Month campaigns have helped to raise £71,464 for the hospice.

Karen Durden, legacy fundraising manager, said: “Making a will is easy to do and keeping it up to date is very important to ensure that your wishes are carried out and your loved ones are looked after.

“Every will written and donation made during the month will help local people with life limiting illnesses to receive vital and specialist care when they need it the most.”

Taking part in Make a Will Month is simple.

All you have to do is contact your chosen, participating solicitors directly and book an appointment, quoting Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Make a Will Month.

It is up to you how much you donate, but as a guide we suggest £130 for a single will, £200 for a pair of basic mirror wills and £40 for a codicil.
