The Wateredge Inn in Waterhead Bay, Ambleside, which has direct lake access, a private jetty and a large outdoor seating area

A Lake District pub operator has revealed it will create about 80 jobs across its seven sites.

The Inn Collection Group is creating full and part-time positions across its sites as it prepares to reopen from May 17.

The group has the following sites in Cumbria:

  • The Ambleside Inn at Ambleside
  • The Temperance Inn at Ambleside
  • The Wateredge Inn at Ambleside
  • The Coniston Inn at Coniston
  • The Swan at Grasmere
  • The Pheasant at Bassenthwaite
  • The Angel Inn at Bowness on Windermere

The Temperance Inn at Ambleside, The Pheasant at Bassenthwaite and The Swan at Grasmere are all undergoing refurbishment, The Inn Collection Group said.

Positions will range from front-of-house to kitchen and housekeeping.

Managing director of The Inn Collection Group Sean Donkin said: “We are delighted to be in a position where we can open up such a great number of permanent jobs across our sites.

“The hospitality industry has been one of the hardest hit by the pandemic, so it’s fantastic to be shouting about good news in the sector.”
