Planning approval has been granted to build a further 335 new homes on a development in west Cumbria.
Copeland Borough Council planners have approved the application from Story Homes for a third phase of homes on their Edgehill Park development in Whitehaven.
The local housebuilder will deliver a further 335 new homes on the development, which will include a variety of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.
Senior development planner, David Hayward, said: “We are delighted that the Copeland Borough Council’s planning panel has granted approval for a third phase of homes at Edgehill Park, a development that has been popular with our customers to date.
“This new phase of homes will support existing local businesses and help create additional employment through new opportunities for local sub-contractors and the supply chain.”
Story Homes anticipate that work will start on site in early summer 2021 with the first homes due to be completed in early 2022.
