Police are warning the public after a report of palm oil on a beach in Cumbria.
Officers have received information about the oil on the beach next to Shore Road in Drigg.
The force would ask that the public take care in this area and are reminded that palm oil can be toxic to dogs.
Police were called at 11.35am today to the report of a clump of palm oil on the beach. The oil was removed to the car park on Shore Road.
Partner agencies are working to remove the palm oil from the area.
The public is advised to keep dogs away from this area until the clean up has been completed.
