Carlisle United’s Callum Guy voted fans’ League Two Player of the Season

Blues midfielder Callum Guy has been voted the League Two Player of the Season following a fan poll.

In a poll run by fan engagement experts Snack Media, the midfielder earned 38 per cent of the vote after racking up 14 assists and making 113 tackles. Guy helped the team to a 10th place finish.

Bolton Wanderers defender Ricardo Santos was in second place with 36 per cent.

In the fourth of five votes carried out over seven days via Snack Media’s digital and social networks, the midfielder’s performances were enough to win over League Two fans up and down the country.

The full list of contenders for the Football League World Fans’ League Two Player of the Season from the final shortlist polled as follows:

– Callum Guy (Carlisle United) – 38%
– Ricardo Santos (Bolton Wanderers) – 36%
– William Boyle (Cheltenham Town) – 20%
– Carlos Mendes Gomes (Morecambe) – 3%
– Paul Mullin (Cambridge United) – 2%
– Václav Hladky (Salford City) – 1%
