An adventurous dog who became stuck on a high ledge while out on a walk had to be rescued by firefighters.
Despite getting herself there, Meg the dog became stuck on the ledge at Dufton Ghyll in Eden and needed the help of Appleby firefighters who were called at around 4.15pm yesterday.
The crew used a 12 metre ladder and working at height kit to rescue the precious pooch who was reunited safely with her owner.
Meg was said by firefighters to be unharmed and happy to be back on level ground.
