A woman has heard she could receive a prison sentence for driving a car dangerously while almost twice the legal alcohol limit.
Olivia Gartland-Armstrong pleaded guilty to two crimes when she appeared in the dock at Carlisle Crown Court.
Garland-Armstrong, 32, of John Street, Maryport, admitted driving a Suzuki Vitara dangerously at Fleming Square in her home town; and drink-driving having had 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Her offences were committed on January 10 this year.
Judge Paul Lawton adjourned her case for the preparation of a probation service pre-sentence report having heard the defendant was of previous good character.
Gartland-Armstrong who, the court heard, works as a nurse, is due to be sentenced at the crown court on July 15.
She was bailed in the meantime and handed an interim during ban.
“You have admitted serious offences,” the judge told her. “All options, including the risk of custody, remain open in this case.”
