A 25-bedroom hotel in Carlisle has been put up for sale with an asking price of £750,000.
The Pinegrove Hotel, close to the city centre, has been in the Middleton family since 2003.
It is being marketed by chartered surveyors Fleurets, which said the younger generation have recently started to
modernise the business.
Besides accommodation, which accounts for over 40 per cent of trade, the hotel has a function room and meeting room and is able to cater for business meetings, conferences, private functions and parties.
The bar and restaurant, which can accommodate around 60 covers, are also open to non-residents.
The hotel still retains some of its original features such as the tiled entrance hall and ornate cornices as well as a stained glass window on the first floor landing.
Brother and sister Chris and Sophie Middleton have decided to market the hotel as they wish to get back to their careers after taking over the hotel following the death of their father.
