Carlisle Cricket Club’s Edenside

Carlisle Cricket Club is hoping for better weather tonight as they attempt to stage a floodlit match in the T20 North Group at Edenside (6.30pm).

Last week’s inaugural clash under lights against Cockermouth was washed out after constant rain throughout the day.

So the match with Workington tonight was confirmed and both sides have named their line ups, which contain some stylish and big hitting batsmen.

This inaugural floodlit, white ball, coloured clothing game should make for an entertaining evening, coupled with music and something for all the family, organisers have promised.

Carlisle will field: Michael Slack (captain/pro), Ben Davidson, Alex Raybould,

Jonathan Davidson,James Dawson, Jonathan Musgrave, Tom BENN (wk), Jordan Oultram, Josh Stirling, Luke Westmorland, Johnny Westgarth.

Workington: Matthew Lowden (captain), Lahiru Dilshan (pro), Kristian Moffat, Callum Sutton, Regan Jackson, Ben Scott, Adam Chambers, Liam Hazzard, Callum Moffat (wk), Simon Beare, Thomas Fox.

It’s a key game for Workington in particular as they went to the top of the group with a very good win at Cockermouth last week.

Both sides are also involved in Higson Cup semi-finals on Sunday -Carlisle at Furness and Workington at Cockermouth
