
Keswick and Cockermouth both were among the runs as they stepped up their challenges in the Cumbria Cricket League’s Premier Division.
Leaders Furness and Cleator also won but Carlisle were frustrated by the rain in a winning position against Dalton when the game was abandoned.
At Lindal Moor rain restricted play to 39 overs but in that time Cockermouth rattled up 322-3 with two century makers.
Cumbria star Matthew Sempill made 130 off 104 balls, rattling 12 fours and seven sixes while Greg Platten was 106 not out off only 49 balls and he struck eight fours and nine sixes. The pair put on 157 for the third wicket.
A virtually impossible task ahead, Lindal made 163-7 in their 39 overs with Ryan Gilmour top-scoring on 43.
There was also a centurion at Keswick where Glen Weightman hit a brilliant unbeaten 109 off just 67 deliveries against Whitehaven. He hit ten fours and six sixes.
Keswick had their full 50 overs and reached 291-6 with good support down the order from James McGown (58) and Ruairdh Barker (31no). Jonathan Stewart was the most successful Whitehaven bowler with 3-67.
Rain intervened and Whitehaven had a revised target of 165 from 23 overs but could only manage 63-5 with professional Terence Warde 23 not out. Dan Gaskell took 4-29.
Leaders Furness beat local rivals Millom by 27 runs in a rain-affected game in the south of the county.
Openers Lewis Gribbin and Nathan Waterston both made 41 as Furness were bowled out for 173 with Primosh Perera taking 3-34.
At the close Millom had made 146-8 with Michael Holmes top-scoring on 28 while Mark Daly took 3-31.
Heavy rain wiped out the Workington v Wigton game after the hosts had reached 149-4 off 38.2 overs. Jake Daniel made 53.
Carlisle were particularly disappointed to miss out against bottom side Dalton as there were only four overs from victory when the rain wiped out any chance of the game being completed.

Jonathan Davidson made 74 in the Carlisle total of 214-5 and Dalton were just 41-3 when the rain came.
Cleator maintained their challenge with a superb win at Haverigg after the hosts had made 178-7 43 overs. In response, the west Cumbrians raced to 180-1 with 4.3 overs to spare as pro Supeshela hit 103no and Darren Clark was 43no
