
Police are probing two assaults in Keswick.
The incidents are reported to have taken place at 5.10pm yesterday on Tithebarn Street, at the junction with Main Street.
The initial incident involved a man and a woman. A second man, who was in his 30s from Yorkshire, intervened to help during the incident.
The second man received minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
Police are looking to identify the man and woman involved in the initial incident.
The man is described as white, 29-39 years old, about 5’11”, with a bald head. He is described as wearing a red jacket, black shorts, black socks and black trainers. He was carrying a black golf umbrella.
The female is described as white, in her early 30s, slim, long blonde hair, wearing a black and white striped jumpsuit, white socks and black sandals.
