A man has been arrested after an alleged kidnap in Carlisle.
Police were called to London Road at about 2.45am yesterday.
A 45-year-old man from Bootle was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drink driving and kidnap. He has been released on police bail.
A woman in her 40s, also from Bootle, was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with minor injuries.
