New Workington boss Chris Willcock will be running his eye over three trialists in today’s friendly at Consett.
Goalkeeper Danny Eccles and defender Liam Lightfoot have already made appearances but midfielder Priestley Griffiths will be playing for the first time.
A former team mate of new signing Kieran Charlton at Blyth, Griffiths trained with Reds before having a week on trial with Oldham.
Since then he has been self-isolating after a member of his family contracted COVID.
Willcock will have a full squad to assess apart from Jim Atkinson, Sam Smith, Conor Tinnion and Scott Allison.
Assistant manager Steven Rudd said: “Scotty doesnt think the shoulder injury is as bad as last time and has done a couple of weight bearing exercises.
“But he doesn’t want to do too much until he sees the specialist and he has an appointment date to discuss it shortly.”
Rudd has had a couple of chats with new boss Willcock and said he was looking forward to working with him.
