A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with a leg injury after he was rescued from the River Eden by firefighters.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Eden Bridge just before 2am yesterday.
Three fire engines attended and the casualty was rescued from the water using a stretcher.
