A Back to Business golf day last month raised £1,420 for Eden Valley Hospice.
The tournament on July 24 was organised by Paul Nelson, of More Handles in Carlisle, with Stuart Davison of accountants Armstrong Watson.
It was held at Eden Golf Club in Crosby-on-Eden with all those taking part asked to donate to the charity.
Paul said: “Myself and Stuart Davison are delighted to have raised money for Eden Valley Hospice by organising our Back to Business Golf day.
“We felt the timing of the event was perfect with the easing of lockdown restrictions.
“Eden Valley Hospice helps so many people throughout the local area and we are pleased to have had the opportunity to support them in a small way.”
Eleanor Viney, fundraising manager at the hospice, said: “We are very grateful for the fantastic support that More Handles and Armstrong Watson have given to us over many years, and this latest event is no exception.
“The continuous support that they generously give makes all the difference to the families we support, ensuring that they can receive the highest standard of compassionate care they need now, and into the future.”
