Laurel and Hardy fans are encouraged to meet with other enthusiasts to talk about the slapstick comedy duo, watch rare footage and documentaries.
Them Ther Hills Tent will hold its first gathering in a year on Tuesday, September 7 in Carlisle.
The appreciation society meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Ex-Servicemen’s Club, 1 Albert Street.
The events also feature quizzes and raffles about the iconic duo,
The society, known as a tent, is part of the worldwide group The Sons of the Desert, started in America in the 1960s, and is one of 30 tents in the UK.
Members also meet up for Ulverston carnival – the South Cumbria town is the place of Stan Laurel’s birth.
A spokesman said: “We are a group of all ages meeting for an evening of laughs, we also show rare behind the scenes film clips and documentaries.
“We visit other tents now and again at Sunderland, Glasgow and Manchester.”
It is free to attend and the meeting begins at 7.30pm.
