Barrow are back on top of League One courtesy of Doncaster after their 22-12 win over Workington Town.
The battle for the automatic promotion place is going to the wire with two matches left for the Cumbrian rivals, with North Wales Crusaders and Doncaster still there looking for slips.
The League is being decided on percentage victories and the current top four reads – Barrow 76.67, Town 73.08, Crusaders 66.67 and Doncaster 63.33.
Doncaster, who had beaten Barrow last week to put Town back on top of the table, were actually completing a League double over Workington.
They had taken an early lead on just five minutes when Aaron York barged over for an unconverted try.
The advantage was doubled on 19 minutes when Tom Halliday scored the second try out wide which Jake Sweeting was unable to convert.
But four minutes later Halliday scored his second try and this time Sweeting did convert for a14-0 lead.
Town desperately needed to get into it before the break and they did soon 32 minutes when Brad Holroyd scored affine individual try after a 30-yard run. Carl Forber converted.
Two minutes into the second-half Town looked to be right back into it when Dawson scored and Forber converted to make it a two-point game.
It took a spectacular try from Liam Tindall on 57 minutes for Doncaster to regain the initiative.
He spotted a gap from inside his own half and out-paced the Town defence on his run to the line.
Fortunes swayed from that point until three minutes from time when a fifth home try, this one from Liam Johnson closed out the game in Doncaster’s favour.
