A Lake District hotel has has a total revamp to launch the venue into a new era.
The Fisherbeck in Ambleside was bought by Clark Zhou in 2019 and its family-friendly atmosphere was the inspiration for its new look.
Clark said: “We love the buzz and energy that families bring to The Fisherbeck.
“We think it’s very important to make families feel welcome and to help keep children entertained.
“As part of the refurbishment we designed a specific space in the hotel for the kids to play. It gives them a space to relax, that’s for them not the adults.
“We provide games, colouring books, and pencils. We also allow kids to feed the fish in the pond, which they find very interesting.
“Our aim is to make families feel as welcome as possible so they can reconnect and enjoy their holiday in the Lake District.”
The garden terrace has also been remodelled.
The 18-room hotel offers six room types, with the luxe king or superking options bringing the majesty of the outdoors inside via French doors to a private patio or sunlounge rooms with views out to the mountains.
Laura Dadaluk, manager at The Fisherbeck, said: “We have rooms that can be configured for a family of up to six.
“All our double rooms have en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and very comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep after a day out in this beautiful area.
“The redesign of the hotel is stunning, and we are so pleased to be able to open our doors to welcome guests, after what’s been a tough period for the industry.
“As dog lovers ourselves we welcome well-behaved dogs in four of our rooms and include a welcome pack with doggy treats, bowl and towel.”
Parts of The Fisherbeck Hoteldate back to the first half of the 17th century, with further extensions added during the Victorian era.
The oldest building was a tannery nearby The Little Beck River, while the main building was a wedding present given to his daughter by a gentleman.
