No new injury concerns for Kendal ahead of match

Kendal boss Chris Humphrey has no new injury concerns ahead of the Mintcakes’ attractive home game with Clitheroe tomorrow.

Club captain Hugo Rodriguez, who has not played at all this season with a groin problem is the only concern as Kendal suffered no new injuries in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Mossley.

“Clitheroe are one of the leading sides in the League who had a good win over another top side in Marine on Tuesday so it’s going to be a test for us.

“But I’ve been pleased with how the team has risen to the occasion against the leading sides. We gave a team from the League above, Warrington Town, a good game in the FA Cup before losing1-0.

“It was another good effort in defeat at Mossley, and unfortunately it’s the same kind of mistakes which are costing us games.

“We are playing good football and creating chances, and if we weren’t doing that I would be seriously worried.

“A couple of wins and we could move half-way up the table in what is a very competitive League.

“As I keep saying the team is a young one, it’s virtually been put together in the summer and the players are on a learning curve. As a young team you have to expect inconsistency but I am confident we can get that from them,” said Humphrey.

Clitheroe are third in the table, four points behind leaders Workington, and have won all three away games so far.
