Can you help solve a murder?

Six suspects have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of 31-year-old Sarah Markham, whose body was found in her apartment in the early hours of this morning.

However, the police need your help to reveal who actually committed the crime.

Can you and your team of detectives search the crime scene for evidence and decipher the clues to solve the case?

Welcome to A Modern Detective – just one of six absorbing and mentally exacting themed challenges for you to take on at Lakes Escapes, in Workington, Cumbria’s premier live escape room venue.

The experience takes one hour and is for two to six players from age seven upwards.

Only the smartest need apply

Lakes Escapes takes you from the stormy, pirate-infested shores of Shipwreck Cove to the laboratory of Dr Frankenscraft, not to mention gothic castle walls and the glitz of the casino floor.

Each room contains a conundrum which you must crack in order to triumph. If you’re a maestro of mental challenges, superlative in games of skill or number one in battles of wits, then you will love putting yourself to the test with us.

Lakes Escapes is a fun and engaging day out for all the family, especially as the days get colder and the nights draw in. The weather may be getting dull, but you can still keep your mind sharp.

Welcome to our world

Owners John and Carol have channelled their enthusiasm for escape rooms into their own mind-bending labyrinth of mischievous fun; all devised, designed and built by them from scratch.

We look forward to welcoming you to Lakes Escapes this autumn. If you’re lucky you might even be able to leave!
