Former Barrow forward Mikael Ndjoli has finally found a new club after being released by the South Cumbrians at the end of last season.
As a free agent he has been considering various options before deciding to join National League club Aldershot and made his debut in mid-week at Dover.
He came on after 55 minutes and helped the Shots secure their first win (2-1) for manager Mark Moseley but they still sit third from bottom of the table.
London-born Ndjoli, 23, spent time as a youngster with Academy set-ups of four clubs in the city – Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, Brentford and Millwall- before joining Bournemouth in 2016.
His rapid pace had attracted the attention of several clubs, having scored 20 goals in 24 games for Millwall’s Youth Team back in 2015/16, before earning himself a move to AFC Bournemouth.
Although he was never called-up for the first team by the Cherries he played on loan for Kilmarnock (24 – 2 goals), Gillingham (12 and 2) and Motherwell (2 and 0).
He was released in February this year when Barrow moved in to secure his services but it proved an unfruitful link-up as he was used only twice and was then released.
Ndjoli has not hurried into finding a new club, but after weighing-up what was on offer decided to join Aldershot, although he did play a trial for them in pre-season.
