Tickets are still available for a free peek behind the doors of Wigton’s acclaimed tailor to the Royal Family, Redmayne 1860.
An ‘in conversation’ event takes place at 3pm on Saturday, October 23 between head cutter Tom Mahon and BBC Radio Cumbria’s Helen Millican at Cornerstone Methodist Church.
Tours are then available from 4pm at the company’s High Street premises.
The behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of the rich and famous is part of the Taste of Wigton event, one of the popular Taste Cumbria festivals.
The event will be packed with family-friendly fun – from tales in a story-telling tipi and fairground rides, to an art auction and workshops at the John Peel Theatre.
There will be live music and a producers’ market packed with food and crafts on Water Street Car Park, children’s activities in the Market Hall, a heritage trail quiz and a Find Wigton Ted treasure hunt.
Taste of Wigton, organised by Allerdale council, with the support of Cumbria County Council, Wigton Town Council, North Allerdale Development Trust, John Peel Theatre and Free 4 All community group, is free.
