A range of festive fancies will be on offer at Whitehaven Market this Christmas.

Copeland Borough Council is inviting stallholders and shop owners to set out their wares at a Christmas market on Saturday, November 27.

Stalls are £16 each and open to everyone who has produce and crafts to sell over the festive period.

Free parking will also be available to stallholders and market visitors at selected Copeland Borough Council car parks on the day.

Mike Starkie, mayor of Copeland, said: “We’re delighted to be running a Christmas market in Whitehaven this year.

“Last Christmas was different for everyone, and this year we’re hoping to bring back a bit more fun to our town with our fantastic festive event.

“There’s something on offer for everyone with bakers, crafters, and makers keen to sell their wares.

“We’re also providing free parking on the day to encourage more visitors to the town.

“I’d urge stallholders to get in touch as soon as possible so they don’t miss their chance to be part of this great occasion.”

Included in the car parking offer is School House Lane, Senhouse Street, Whitehaven Sports Centre, The Ginns, The Copeland Centre and North Shore.

Residents are asked to note that there are a number of marked permit-only bays within these car parks that are not available for public use.

Additionally, only the car parks listed above are subject to this offer; there are other car parks that are privately-owned and may be subject to payment.

The deadline for stallholders to book and prepay for stalls is November 20.

For more information and to hire a stall email [email protected] or call 07385 362 788.
