Brampton Community Centre is gearing up to host its first live music event in over two years.
Brampton Acting Together, the town’s emergency planning and resilience group are hosting a Halloween party this Friday, from 8pm to midnight and featuring live band, The RUKUS.
People are encouraged to attend in fancy dress, although this is optional. There will be a licensed bar and the event is over-18s only.
Proceeds from the night will go towards a future event for local children.
Tickets, at £5, are available from Brampton Community Centre and Brampton Post Office.
Community centre manager, James Burke said: “We’re really excited to welcome live music back to the community centre and to work with Brampton Acting Together.
“This will be the first time in over two years, since before the start of the pandemic that the community centre has been able to host live music, having reinstated our stage area in our main hall.
“Following feedback from the local community and the issues involved with operating a soft play facility in a COVID-19 secure manner, we decided to reinstate the stage and plan to relocate our soft play area to a new home within the centre.
“A firm date for reopening our soft play area is not yet known, however, this is something we will keep under review as we make our way out of the pandemic.”
