Red diesel stolen from digger near Appleby

Red diesel has been stolen from a digger near Appleby.

Police are investigating the incident, which took place at around 1.15pm yesterday in a field off the Maulds Meaburn to Morland road.

Two men were seen stealing fuel from the digger, before leaving the area in a dark coloured 4×4-type vehicle.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to the incident, or who may know the identity of those involved, to contact police.

Anyone with information should contact police referencing incident 123 of 7th Nov on 101, via https://www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
