Emergency services searched for six hours along the coast for a missing person in the early hours.
Police, St Bees RNLI, Maryport Inshore Rescue, Maryport and Whitehaven Coastguard, Burgh by Sands Coastguard and a police helicopter covered the area from St Bees Head to Nethertown after being called out at around 12.15am.
The teams did not find anyone and were stood down after six hours.
