Latest power cut locations as Electricity North West issues update

Electricity North West has issued an update on the latest situation surrounding power cuts in Cumbria.

They say they are working to restore power to properties as quickly as possible but that if electricity is not restored by 8pm this evening, “it is very likely that your power will not be back on tonight”.

Here are the areas in Cumbria experiencing power cuts:

  • Prestonpatrick, Milnthorpe – 141 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration 7.51pm
  • Grange-Over-Sands – 224 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration 5.40pm
  • Garrigill, Alston – nine customers are affected – estimated time of restoration 5.35pm
  • Westhall, Brampton – 56 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • Burneside, Kendal – six customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • Windermere – nine customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • South Stainmore, Kirkby Stephen – 21 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • Windermere – 26 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • Kirkby Lonsdale, Carnforth – 82 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • Meathop, Grange-over-Sands – 10 customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
  • Hutton John, Penrith – seven customers are affected – estimated time of restoration under review
