The finalists for the Conway Cup were confirmed when Workington Reds Development hosted Pirelli and Workington Athletic entertained Northbank.
Both fixtures were played on artificial surfaces as the Cumberland County League season reached its mid-point.
Pirelli came away with a 4-0 victory over the Reds with Jordan Irving, Kieron Blair, Jordan Atkinson and James Earl sharing the goals.
The tie between Workington Athletic and Northbank was a much closer contest. Tom Pardini and a double from Kevin Connelly ensured Athletic progressed into the final after a 3-2 victory.
Northbank kept the outcome in doubt until the final whistle with two goals from Ben Atkinson.
The weather caused the postponement of two of the three fixtures scheduled in the Premier Division.
The Aspatria game with near neighbours Maryport Athletic and Wigton Harriers v Cockermouth were postponed due to waterlogged pitches. The Wigton game was a late call-off with Cockermouth being frustrated having travelled to Barton Laws ready to play.
Gosforth made the League’s longest journey to meet Carlisle City Development at Gillford Park.
The result of the game became secondary when one of the City players collapsed on the field and was transferred to hospital, but thankfully he has recovered from the ordeal.
Both teams can take credit on how they reacted to the situation with Carlisle City complimenting Gosforth on “the class manner” in which the Gosforth team conducted themselves during the incident.
For the record City edged the game 2-1 with goals from Aaron Roberts and Nathan Johnstone, Gosforth reduced the arrears through Kian Hoey.
In Division One, UniSun Athletic continued their challenge for the title with a 7-0 home defeat of Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves.

Windscale Reserves also notched a 7-1 victory at the Falcon Ground against Whitehaven Amateurs Reserves.
Jay Taylor scored a hat-trick and player manager Dale Hooper grabbed two while Josh Hammond and Kieran Fraser also found the net for Windscale. Ross Dawson replied for a young Amateurs side.
