Kendal Town made three more signings ahead of their NPL West game at home to Bootle.
Goalkeeper James McLennehan has joined from North West Counties League side Litherland while striker Scott McDonald has signed from Vickerstown.
A deal with Fleetwood is particularly significant as new chairman Michael O’Neill has strong ties with the League One club.
Akiel Raffie, a midfielder who has been part of Fleetwood’s development squad has joined on a month’s loan and two of his team-mates are expected to follow next week.
The 19-year-old Raffie had impressed in the Under-18’s setup last season and even earned his first-team debut back in October, 2020 when he came off the bench in Town’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa in the Papa John’s Trophy.
After a consistent season, Raffie put pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the 2022/23 season, with the club holding an option for a further year.
Manager Warren Beattie said: “I’m looking forward to the game and seeing these lads fit into our squad.
“The goalkeeper James is good and last season spent time training with Wigan. He’s well thought of.
“It’s good to get the deal done with Fleetwood to recruit their players, which could be good for the future.
“Scott has a good reputation for scoring goals with Vickerstown and we look forward to seeing what he can do for us.”

Kendal slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Widnes last week after a win and a draw under Beattie, and are keen to get points on the board again to continue their battle to get away from the relegation zone.
“Bootle are a decent side who work hard and it will be a test but we are just so keen to get out there again,” said Beattie.
