Workington Reds will have three senior players back in contention for selection when they take on Kendal today in the Cumbrian derby.
Sam Smith, Ceiran Casson and Ruben Jerome were all unavailable for their last game eight days ago but are in the squad for the trip to Parkside Road.
Louis Rowe and Scott Allison remain on the long-term injured list while Charlie Bowman, who has been ill (not covid related), trained on Thursday but is not fit enough to return.
Manager Chris Willcock will make a late check on defender Dan Wordsworth who has an ankle issue.
Reds go into the game in second place in the NPL West table, seven points behind Marine from the same number of games.
Kendal will start the day second bottom seven points short of safety.
Meanwhile Willcock and his assistant Steven Rudd have advertised for a goalkeeping coach to join the management team.
“We think it will be valuable for us to have a specialist coach in for goalkeepers which would allow us to work with the main group at training
“At the moment we have our two senior keepers and a teenage third choice joins us when he can. With a specialist coach we would have our Development side and age group keepers joining in, which would benefit everyone.
“I will be sitting down with Ruddy after the Kendal game and seeing just how far we’ve got in coming up with the right candidate,” said Willcock.
