A man has been arrested after fleeing from police in his car and crashing into a vehicle with a baby in the back seat.
The man fled because he only had a provisional licence, and ended up colliding with a lamppost and parked vehicle in his bid to get away.
The incident occurred on Edgehill Road in Carlisle and no injuries were reported.
A police spokesman said: “The consequences of failing to stop for police and driving dangerously all because he had a provisional licence. This driver was arrested for multiple offences.”
