Carlisle Crown Court

A Carlisle man accused of voyeurism will stand trial in front of a city crown court jury later this year.

Jacek Kuliga, 39, faces one charge. This alleges voyeurism and that he recorded a female doing a private act with the intention that he would, for the purpose of sexual gratification, look at the image knowing she did not consent to the recording with that intent in mind.

Court papers allege that this took place in Penrith on January 23 last year.

Kuliga appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today to face the charge. During a short hearing in front of Recorder Anna Vigars QC, and with the assistance of an interpreter, he pleaded not guilty to the allegation.

Recorder Vigars told the defendant he is due to stand trial in the week of May 9. It is estimated that hearing will last two to three days.

In the meantime Kuliga, of Broadoaks Grange, Carlisle, will remain on bail.
