A man has been given a community order after he admitted sexually assaulting a woman.
Darren Bellard admitted one charge of sexually assaulting a woman in Whitehaven on September 25 last year.
The 44-year-old appeared before Workington’s magistrates’ court on January 12.
Bellard was ordered to complete 35 rehabilitation activity days, was fined £900, was told to pay £85 in costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
He was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation to the victim.
Bellard, of Coronation Road in Bridgewater, Somerset must register with police at Workington Police Station for the next five years.
Bellard had previously given his address as Clayton Avenue, Cleator Moor.
