It might not be the number one priority on Mark Cooper’s wishlist, but Pot Noodles are going on the menu at the Dunes Hotel Stadium on Saturday.
Barrow host Mansfield in one of the eye-catching games of the day in League Two and fans are also invited to enjoy off-the-field pleasures.
The club recently put out an extensive survey to supporters and have been overwhelmed with the response already, with nearly 500 fans taking the time to let the Blueboards know their thoughts.
One area highlighted as in need of improvement was the club’s food offering on matchday, so it has taken some small initial steps to try and give fans a few extra options.
The club says: “From our catering hut on the Main Stand side, we’re now offering a pie, peas and gravy deal to fans so make sure you head over there to give it a try on Saturday.
“Plus, from the other outlets, we’re making Pot Noodles and a variety of soups available to help keep supporters warm as the cold weather begins to bite!”
On the field, it promises to be tasty, too, with Mansfield top of the form table and soaring into the playoffs under the experienced guidance of manager Nigel Clough.
Form tables are usually assessed over the last six games and Mansfield have accumulated six wins for 18 points, with a goal difference of plus seven.
Barrow are 14th with two wins, a draw and three defeats in their most recent league encounters.
