Three men will be sentenced by a judge later this week after a man was robbed of a delivery of pizza, alcohol and cigarettes while in a residential area of Carlisle.
The 26-year-old victim reportedly sustained minor injuries after an incident in the Dale End Road area of the city just after 2am on 28th July last year.
Police said in the aftermath the man was threatened and his £81.70 delivery — a 12-inch pizza, two bottles of vodka, cigarettes and two bottles of cola — was snatched from him.
During a Carlisle Crown Court hearing late last year, 35-year-old Billy Moorhead admitted robbing the man of food, drink and cigarettes.
Two other men also facing a robbery charge they denied were due to stand trial in front of a jury this week.
However, today, both Jonathan Rogers, 42, and 28-year-old George-Alexandru Pruna appeared in court and admitted a lesser, alternative charge of theft.
Moorhead, of Hawick Street; Pruna, of Warwick Square; and Rogers, of Cumwhinton Road, all Carlisle, are due to be sentenced by a judge on Thursday.
In the meantime, Moorhead and Pruna will remain remanded in custody, while Rogers was granted bail by Recorder Paul Hodgkinson.
