A Workington leisure facility is to close its doors for good due to a “few tough years of trading”.
Eclipse Leisure Centre posted a statement on their Facebook page which reads: “We as a family have decided that after 19 years of business it is now time to close permanently on January 30.
“We like other leisure/hospitality businesses have had a few tough years trading, COVID hasn’t helped and rising costs have made it very difficult to return the significant investment needed to grow, expand and refurbish the centre.
“We would like to say that we have been and are proud, privileged and loved serving the people of West Cumbria and beyond for all these years and thank everyone of you and your families that have frequented our establishment.”
The centre offers tenpin bowling and crazy golf.
