
A 15-year-old boy has been discharged from hospital after a stabbing involving two pupils at Walney School.
The boy was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital with serious injures after suffering multiple stab wounds on his body.
Police have confirmed that he has now been discharged from hospital.
A 16-year-old boy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in police custody.
Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service at around 10.10am yesterday, reporting that a pupil had suffered stab injuries following an attack inside the school.
A 16-year-old boy was detained at around 10.40am close to Barrow train station.
