A Workington road was closed by police overnight as officers dealt with an incident.
Police were called at about 10pm last night, January 28, following reports of concerns about a man’s welfare in the Banklands and Bank Road area.
A police spokesman said: “A man in his 40s was taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven. He is described as being in a stable condition.”
A police officer was stationed at the cordon this morning, but the spokesman said they were no longer in attendance.
