Workington Town coach Chris Thorman is only able to name a 19-strong squad for the Challenge Cup-tie at Barrow.

Injuries have had an effect on his selection choices while Hanley Dawson also doesn’t figure as he’s unavailable and Caine Barnes starts a three-match suspension.

Thorman has five forwards out of contention through injury – two of them long-term in Steve Scholey and Dave Weetman who are continuing their re-hab rofm last season’s injuries.

The trio still struggling with their injuries are Jake Lightowler (knee), Marcus O’Brien (shoulder) and Matty Henson (ankle).

Town have lost all four Championship matches but cane-up trumps two weeks ago in the Challenge Cup when they beat Dewsbury Rams.

They were comprehensively beaten 54-4 by Sheffield last week at Derwent Park which Thorman described as one of the worst days in his coaching career.

The Town squad is: Bickerdike, Brown, Clarke, Clegg, Doran, Fitzsimmons, Forber, Hutchings, O’Donnell, Olstrom, Postlethwaite, Simons, Singleton, Steele, Teare, Thomas, Thomson, Walker, Young.
