Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team volunteers were called into action following reports that a yacht had capsized in Ullswater.
At about 2.45pm yesterday, March 12, the team was called out by Cumbria police on behalf of HM Coastguard requesting help for two people on a capsized boat in the middle of the lake.
Fourteen team members responded and launched the team RIB, but they were almost immediately stood down as the casualties had been picked up by the Ullswater Yacht Club rescue boat.
