East clubs have dominated the two County Cup competitions this season.

Carlisle City and Wetheriggs are all set to contest the senior County Cup final and after the semi-finals it’s an east pairing in the Sunday County Cup final.

Scotby and Inter Pirelli got through to the final on May 8 when they both beat Workington Sunday League opposition 4-0.

Salterbeck travelled to Scotby and were beaten 4-0 with goals from Karl Sisson (2), Kevin McKenna  and Joe Robinson.

Maryport Athletic suffered the same fate when they played at Inter Pirelli as the hosts built on a 1-0 interval lead to win well.

Sean Bannon put the Carlisle side ahead after 15 minutes and Kieron Blair doubled the advantage on 53 minutes. Jordan Pritchard-Farish made it 3-0 after 78 minutes and two minutes from time Blair scored his second.

Back in the Workington and District Sunday League Northside beat Dearham 4-1 to go into the League Cup final on Thursday May 5 against Deer Orchard at Borough Park (kick off 6.30pm).

Tommy Whitehead (2), Jamie Glover and Gary O’Driscoll scored the Northside goals with Callum Casson replying for Dearham.

There was one game in the Premier League where Blue Bell scored a very good 5-3 win at Sun Inn. Tom Powell (2), Carl Denver, Kyle Teasdale and Grant Quayle were on the mark.

Sun’s response came from Dan Pearson, Matty Prior and Shaun Smith.

The only game in Division One saw Senhouse Street go top with a narrow 3-2 win against JJ’s.

Declan Moore, Terry Wharrier and Andrew Brown scored the goals with Keenan Musgrave and Ryan Byrne replying for JJ’s.

Senhouse lead Sun Inn Athletic by three points but have played three more games.

Athletic will claw back one of those games in hand on Wednesday when they play JJ’s at Curwen Park.

Games scheduled for Sunday are as follows:

  • Premier League Divisional Cup semi-final – Northside v Sun Inn.
  • Premier League – Dearham v Blue Bell.
  • Division One – The Junction v JJ’s.
